Mens health week running 9th-15th June. Too many men die young, in the UK, one in five men die under the age of 65.... it can be prevented. For more information or to see the events being held then go to the Mens health forum @ menshealthforum.org.uk - mens health forum is a charity which aims to help and improve men and boys' health and trying to make a difference. This year, the theme is 'Health and Work'.
So, to all you men out there... do you look after yourselves? Lets be honest, we all know men are the first to complain when it comes to 'man flu' but for some strange reason, when it comes to more serious health problems men are often too shy, embarrassed or in denial to come forward and speak to a GP.
Male identity is strongly tied up with work and how they earn a living. This means that health at work is doubly important for men. Perhaps men take their work too seriously and their health not seriously enough. The link between work and health is clear.
