Kick start the first week of September with this great one day food plan:
Begin your day with a glass of hot water and freshly squeezed lemon to perform an inner spring clean! Add a tbsp of apple cider vingear and/or a teaspoon of manuka honey to sweeten to take off the sharp edge!
Breakfast: 1 small portion of porridge oats sprinkled with cinnamon, chopped apple and skimmed milk. Great way to start the day and you will feel fuller for longer. Get in on of your 4 pints of water before/buring/after breakie!
Mid-morning snack: Handful of blueberries, saltanas and almonds added to a low fat yoghurt
Lunch: To feel and look fabulous, you may want to eat more cleansing detox foods to help your body get rid of toxins.
Try a vegetable detox omelette recipe I found:
Ingredients:
Avocado is a source of glutathione, which we need to remove fat-soluble toxins.
Egg yolks, onions, garlic, red peppers have components to help get rid of toxins through the urine. Egg yolks also help metabolize fats in the body.
Spinach, tomatoes.
Cayenne pepper purifies blood and tissue.
Method:
Saute onions in olive oil for 4 minutes; add red pepper, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, mix thoroughly and saute for 1 minute.
Mix eggs, 2 tbsp water, cayenne pepper, salt and make an omelet. Spread sautéed vegetables and fold the omelet in half.
Mid afternoon snack: Melon and crunchy bran pot.
Ingredients:
½ x 200g pack melon medley
150g pot fat-free yogurt
2 tbsp fruit & fibre cereal
1 tbsp mixed seeds
1 tsp clear honey
Method: Top melon medley with yogurt, then sprinkle over cereal mixed with seeds. Drizzle over honey and eat immediately.
Dinner:1-2 pints of water before dinner. Baked salmon with cherry tomatoes on a bed of a salad with handful sweet potato chips – use lemon as dressing for fish and salad. 1 pint of water with dinner.
